Back again! Hopefully this time for good!

I miss blogging. Really, I do. I started this blog up a few months ago with full intentions on posting regularly and have I? Um, no. Not at all. SO I am back (again) and hopefully this time I'll do a little better.

Update? Sure.

Kid's are doing wonderful. Now that Caleb is 4 I'm noticing a HUGE shift in his personality. He's a lot more willing to please and a MUCH better listener. (HOORAY!!!!) He's also doing incredible with letter names & sounds. Our next big step is learning to write all the letters but he has a decent chunk down already and we've got plenty of time before he'd need to know them. Lyla has hit the terrible-two's running full force. We've been working on potty training and she was doing so well for awhile but now I find her regressing... and I can't figure out why! She is also picking up her letters and their sounds rather quickly for being just barely 2. I'm impressed! I think it has a LOT to do with big brother & our Leapfrog- The Letter Factory DVD the kids got for Christmas. I HIGHLY recommend it! The kids love it and they're learning so much from it!

Matt was laid off from his job at the end of December and we've been on a crazy road since then. He's decided that instead of searching for another job, he's going to pursue his dream/calling of becoming a Christian counselor. I definitely had a hard time getting used to the financial aspect of this but we're trusting God will provide! Right now hes at Bucks to get the basic classes out of the way but his goal is to transfer to Philadelphia Biblical as soon as he's able. We've also taken part in a new business together to help with the funds and so far things are going great- but more on that another time :)

As for me? Well, I'm pregnant again! Baby #3 will be making his or her debut around May 30! We're not finding out the gender this time (which is driving so many people crazy) and we're both so excited! It's so crazy to think that I'll be 23 tomorrow and expecting our third child. Years ago when I "planned out" my life I NEVER imagined I'd be where I am now. According to that "plan" I wasn't even going to get married until I was about 23! I love that God's plans are better than ours! I've been working on my crocheting which I believe is another of God's plans- not mine! I never had any interest in doing anything like that. That is, until one day when I suddenly decided to learn to make baby and children's hats. Literally, just like that. Strange. Anyways, I'm hoping to get that business off pretty soon... I'm just searching for a good name...

I promise I'll be back soon... and with photos too! As for now? I think there's some ice cream in the freezer calling me :) G'Nite!

The Packed Post :: Part 1

The title says it all.... I'm cramming a lot of stuff in this one... Yes, its totally my fault for not updating regularly but give me break. I'm still looking for free time. Today Jackie took Caleb & Lyla to the park for a bit so I've finally found some. :) Alrighty, lets dive in....

Back at the beginning of the month we took our first "staycation" or a vacation that involved sleeping mostly at home. We started off on Saturday with a trip to Lake Nockamixin for a walk & some rock skippin.

My darlin found this heart shaped rock.... It's exactly the piece we're missing for our "I love you" rock collection!

Lyla stood on Caleb's training wheels to catch a ride... super cute!

Daddy taught Lyla how to climb on the roots at the waterfall..... this scares me.

Because we all know my husband is a monkey.... pull-ups with the kids on his shoulders lol they LOVED it!

Monday we headed down to Wildwood, NJ to stay with relatives of mine who own a beach house. And by relatives I mean my Grandmother's second cousin and her husband... or something like that. I had only met them once before when I was quite young so it was a little awkward at first sharing a house with them. However, by the time we left we were very comfortable :) We had an absolutely wonderful time the whole 3 days we were there. A decent chunk of our time was spent on the boardwalk but we also had a beautiful day to relax on the beach.

Maybe in a few years he'll be big enough to ride..... lol

We stopped in the "Casino" on the boardwalk for some cheep food and some random person handed Caleb a whole cup of tickets! He was sooo happy!

I just love watching my children playing nicely together.... its a beautiful sight!

The Thursday right after we came back was Caleb's first day of Nursery School for this year! He's going 2 days a week for 2.25 hrs each. He's totally loving it! (And so am I!)

And to think that I still have so much more to cover..... Peddler's Village, a birthday party, a picnic... I guess that's gonna have to wait until tomorrow.... :)

Baby Eli

Working on Eli's photos today. The cute little guy and his parents stayed with our family for a week fresh out of the hospital. We really enjoyed having him around. Fortunately for him (and unfortunately for Matt & I) the kids were GREAT with him around. They both love babies! Caleb had been asking for "a real baby.... not a doll" before they came and having Eli around certainly didn't help me trying to get out of the subject. I'm still trying to convince him he wants a doll.....

Isn't he just precious?! (And yes, that's the hat I made! It was hard to part with after the shoot.) I may have to start convincing myself I just want a doll if I keep seeing all these gorgeous babies...... Hopefully I'll get our vacation pics up soon!

Hello Ocean City!

This weekend we took off to Ocean City for a chance to relax together. We met up with our friends Jackie & Andy and had a great time! Caleb & Lyla were quite apprehensive of the ocean at first, but by the end of our trip they loved it.

As always, Daddy made something awesome out of sand. This time we were awarded a crawl-through sand tunnel! He crawled through a few times first to make sure it was safe for the kiddos, and I'm happy to report it did not collapse at all!

Jackie also showed us some awesome sand art..... drip castles. They look like an awesome forest to me!

We did a fairly good job keeping sand out of Caleb & Lyla's faces..... until Lyla face planted. Funny thing is I was sitting right there with the camera pointed at her before she did. Lucky mommy, not so lucky Lyla....

We cleaned her up pretty well though and everything was fine again. After we left the beach we headed back to our hotel in Somers Point to clean up & grab dinner and not even 5 minutes after we left Matt and I discovered this in the back seat......

They we EXHAUSTED! And oh so cute! Once we cleaned up and rested a bit we headed out to Andy's concert with the Philadelphia Boy's choir which was AMAZING! until some grumpy old people in front of us complained about Caleb asking questions and Lyla singing along... so we left (with our blood boiling) and took off to the boardwalk for the night. We started off Sunday with a Suri ride and the kiddos got to ride in the basket up front! They loved it!

After our ride we headed back to the boardwalk for an amazing late breakfast. The food was GREAT! We'll definitely go back to that place!

We enjoyed our trip so much! Matt and I can't wait to take the kids back at the end of the summer for a week!
